a brief history.

couple of times a year we’d visit my Father and we’d spend a couple of days with my Nan.

Dad used to pick us up in his car.

My Nan would always get a copy of the latest school photo.

My Dad and my Stepmother always had dogs.

Nan always had a garden full of food.

fans heading to central station, the club pays for a special train to ferry the fans across to Sunderland.  There are three ‘special’ trains.  Northumbria Police together with colleagues from other forces have been on duty since 5am in preparation for the match.

so this is Bud, and PC Rob Schofield on his back.  They’re from West Yorkshire mounted division.

You might remember him from last year. all things considered he’s looking pretty relaxed here.  I wasn’t the only person to take his photo today as you might expect.

The most famous horse I’ve ever met.

image taken on 21st October.  Alnmouth, Northumberland.

This is the site of St Cuthbert’s Minster Church at Twyford, looking across the estuary at Alnmouth on the Northumberland Coast.  The original church and destination of the pilgrimage was washed away a few hundred years ago and is now represented by this wooden cross.

It was an extremely wet day.

here’s some images from todays kitchen in Stockton and no thoughts because I’m a photographer not a politician.

These chaps all attend the Kitchen in Stockton and they all face their challenges in different ways.

i’ve been following a soup kitchen around the north east for a few weeks now; the kitchen is provided by Help Link North East. run by a mixture of volunteers and full time staff. They split their time between Darlington, Middlesbrough, Newcastle and Stockton.
Her name is Steph, i thought she was feeding her boyfriend but I’m assured he’s just a friend; regardless, he’s been drinking and cant manage the fork. They both eat, socialise briefly and then leave.

If you are not happy, make sure you’re not taking pills/medication for emotional issues, like loneliness and feeling like you don’t fit in, Doctors love this, they over medicate because it’s an industry, you’ll get worse! I worked in the NHS, a lady came in because she lost her husband, she was diagnosed with depression and treated with medication, because she chose the drugs route and not the ‘life’ route, within a year she was messed up and dependant, it was sad, she should have reached out to friends, cried over tea with her neighbour and gone on some mad holiday, but instead she was a fucking vegetable. I HATE medication - it is a placebo. Life will heal you. Life will love you. You are not alone.
